California Knows How To Party...

This last weekend we went to San Diego with my parents and my brother Sean and his family for my moms 60th birthday. It was a lot of fun. We stayed at this AMAZING hotel called Paradise Point. It had a private beach with firepits, beach entry swimming pools, tiki torches, personal cabanas, fireworks, hawaii looking landscaping and koi ponds with turtles and ducks.

This is Alexis holding Paisley on the super comfy bed at the hotel.
The koi ponds

Hawaiian landcaping
Beach entry swimming pools (and a pic of my toes) :)
The ballerina princess in her first swimming suit and first swimming experience.

Paisley is learning to stand up on her own, so she spreads her feet wide apart to balance herself.
While we were in Cali, we met up with Peter and his friend Cory for a fun filled day at Disneyland.
Buzz Lightyear ride.
Jungle Crusie
For my moms birthday dinner we went to this resturant called "The Fish Market" and right next to it there was this huge aircraft carrier and statue of a sailor kissing a nurse.

Happy Birthday Mom
We had so much fun. We wish we could do it every weekend.

Peter Woods Nova

When Ryan and went down to Arizona a couple weeks ago, we went to the drag races in Chandler. Peter was going to race his nova, but he had to make some last minute adjustments to his car and didn't make it in time to race. No worries though because we had a lot of fun watching the motorcycles and other muscle cars race.
Because we did not get to see the nova in action, Peter invited us over to take a personal spin in the car.

Peter has put a lot of time and effort into this car and it has definitly paid off.

Logandale Fair

Almost every year since we have lived in Vegas we have gone to the fair in Logandale with my parents. It gives us an excuse to wear our cowboy hats and boots and eat really yummy fair food (the food is why we really go in the first place). This year we have a new cowgirl in the mix and so Papa Bob bought her a hat.
About half way through the day, little miss cowgirl got tuckered out.
It was kind of windy that day, so that is why we are all squinting in the picture.

One of my newest favorite fair foods is grilled corn on the cob. They give you all sorts of 'fixings' to put on it like parm chesse, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper etc. Paisley loves her Nana Jeanne because she is always giving her some yummy new food.
We had a lot of fun seeing the animals, eating food and looking at all the different shops. It was really fun to take Paisley to her first fair and its exciting to have another hat to add to our collection.

Happy Spring??

So it has snowed the last two Mondays and it is supposed to snow again on Tuesday. I thought we were in Spring. Apparently the mountain has not received that memo from mother nature yet.

Shes Wants To Drive Already??

Paisley loves the drivers seat. We might as well add her to our car insurance now. :)

Whats In a Name?

A lot of people have asked me how I came up with the name Paisley. Well its very simple. One day, while I was pregnant, I was driving down the road and I looked over at the radio to turn up the music and saw this...

I thought to myself, wow thats a cute name, and the rest is history. I also like the song that was playing at the time "Two People Fell in Love". It all just fits.
