Happy 1st Birthday Paisley

Paisley is one very lucky birthday girl this year. Not only did she get to celebrate her birthday all weekend, she also gets to go to Arizona and celebrate with our family down there in a couple weeks. On her actual birthday we went to PF Changs and Paisley discovered that she loves bbq ribs.
We ate most of the meat off of them and then gave her the bone that had bbq sauce on it and she LOVED it. They brought out a little chocolate dessert with a candle. Notice that she still has that rib bone. :)

Here is the aftermath of the chocloate dessert.

Paisley does this cute thing by laying her head on the table. Obviously this picture was taken before the rib and chocolatey goodness.

I thought this was a picture perfect moment. Paisley with her Nana.

On Saturday we went to this really great buffet, but I forgot to take any pictures. But Paisley loved it because she got to eat all sorts of fun food and desserts. On Sunday my parents and my brother Kris and his family came up to our place for a family birthday party. I decided to make a monkey cake because Paisley is our little moneky. So here is the process. Bake the head part in a bowl and the ears is a cupcake cut in half. Then you frost it.

Add some hair on the top and some fancy dots on the bottom.
Use some buttercream frosting for the mouth and ears. (Drink some of the diet pepsi in the background)
Add some eyes, mouth and nose and you have a monkey cake!
Heres the gang.

Now Paisley was very delicate when it came to her cake. We all think she was too full to eat much, so we waited a couple hours and tried it again and she got a little more into it.

Here are some of her presents.
stroller and doll that says "peek a boo"
cell phone that she is "talking" on all the time.

This was my not so creative back up cake if the monkey one failed. :)
