Parties, parties and more parties

Last weekend was a very fun and busy weekend! It started with us packing up the kids and all their MANY accesories and accomodations (clothes, beds, diapers, wipes, toys, bottles, sipees, books, snacks, blankets, carseats, movies, movie player etc). After we got on the road, we had to turn around twice because we forgot a couple of those things. Wah wah wah! Road trips are not the same as they used to be when it was just Ryan and I. :)

Anyways, 7 hours, 2 movies, 3 stops, 4 stinky diaper changes, 1 hour of crying (by all four of us), and a couple thoughts of turning around and going back home, we finally made it to Phoenix! Yay!

Our first party was a yummy bbq at Peter and Cassandras new house. They have a huge AMAZING house. I could live in the pantry. You could put a 30 foot christmas tree in the main room. The backyard could easily fit a couple swimming pools (hint hint). The house also came equipped with a bedroom called "The Ryan and Brittany Room". :) What are the chances of that?? :) Like I said, its an amazing house! :)

The next party was a baby shower for Austin. My sister-in-laws Alicia and Melanie put together an awesome shower full of good friends and family, great food and cute decorations.

The next day we blessed Austin at Ryan and Courtneys house. My sis-in-law Jen was kind enough to take these pictures for me.
Can you tell Paisley is sooo excited to be a big sister?? She had a scowl on her face for every picture. :)
Jen and I love this pic because it looks like Austn is praying:)

The last and final party was a birthday party for Paisley. My sis-in-law Liz put together a really fun Cars themed party for Paisley. Peter, Cassandra, Collin and the whole Mormann family came to celebrate Paisley turning 2!
Paisley hit the jackpot with presents! She is so LOVED!! ;)I can't remember why she doesn't have a shirt on in this picture, but since she is learning to dress herself, being shirtless is an everyday occurance, so we are not phased by it anymore.
I told her to take a bite of her birthday cupcake and this is how she did it. :)Shes one of a kind!
Thanks so much to everyone for the fun weekend! We are so grateful to have such great friends and family.

It Is SOOO Worth It!

So you know how newborn babies just sleep, eat, pooh, and cry?? Well when you add a 2 year old to the mix, those 4 words have a totally different meaning.

SLEEP: One of them ( I won't name names) is waking up every 3-4 hours during the night to have some bonding time with mom and then the other one is usually very much awake by 6am, so sleeping isn't really an option for the adults in the house.

EAT: We don't go out to eat at restaurants. We tried it ONCE and it didn't go very well. Enough said.

POOH: We buy LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of diapers. Forget buying stock in gold, we need to buy stock in Pampers and Huggies. :) Is it possible to potty train a 2 year old and potty train a 2 month old at the same time?? We shall see soon!:)

CRY: When one starts to cry, the other usually joins in (like a crying choir) :) or my personal favorite is when one just barely gets to sleep and the other one starts to cry and wakes up the one who was asleep and this usually makes me want to cry.

Anyways, even though having 2 kids under 2 has had its challenges, it is SOOOO worth it because of lots of moments like these...

I am so blessed!! I wouldn't trade my crazy life for ANYTHING!!!!!

No Thank You/Thank You

I would like to start out by saying NO THANK YOU to the countless parks in Las Vegas who do not have shade coverings over their playgrounds when its 110 degree weather during the summer.

So, I would now like to say THANK YOU to the Burger King and McDonalds down the street from us who have nice indoor air conditioned playlands. They have provided Paisley with numerous hours of fun and entertainment as well as provided me with a little bit of sanity.

I would also like to say THANK YOU to Baby Einstein for making this fun little toy that has provided Austin (as well as Paisley because she thinks its hers) with fun and entertainment as well as provided me again with some sanity.
