Brycen's baby blessing and more random pictures of the kiddos

A few weeks ago we went down to Brycen's baby blessing in Arizona. It was such a nice blessing and baby brycen was sooo cute!! :)
We found out that Austin likes bananas! Rice cereal not so much still, but bananas yes.
Propping himself up in preperation for learning how to crawl. :)
Paisley reading in my class library at school. (Pics of my whole classroom to come soon).
I love this pic because she is just barely peeking over to the book to see if I am taking her picture.

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Halloween was SO much fun this year because Paisley totally got the concept of it...dress up as my favorite disney princess Rapunzel (check), get a fun bucket that matches my princess dress (check), walk up to any random house and knock on the door (check), hold up my bucket to whoever answers the door (grim reaper, scary clown, evil witch...who cares as long as they have a bowl with candy) (check), say something that sounds like trick or treat "tricktreat" (check), get extra candy for being so cute (check), walk away while staring into your bucket to see what you got and say "tank you" AFTER the people close the door (check), come home and eat lots of candy and run around the house like a mad woman (check check)!

She also helped pass out candy when we got home. She would put 1 piece in the trick or treaters bags and say "Halloween" (supposed to be "Happy Halloween", but it was cute how she said it). I would then sneek a couple more pieces in the kids bags when Paisley wasn't looking.

We also went to Trunk or Treat this year. It was a lot of fun. Paisley was Rupunzel (ofcourse), Austin was an old man with a toupee, and Ry and I were inmates who got caught "stealing" the cutest kids ever!!

Like most old men, our little man decided to take a little snoozer during the party.

At school today, I dressed up as Cruella De Vil. My kids loved it!! We had a fun party in our classroom and we even did a parade with the rest of the school and got to show off our fun costumes. I kept asking all the kids "have you seen any spotted puppies?" This is my evil Cruella look.

Here is Austin's photoshoot when we were trying on different costume options
It was such a fun Halloweeen this year! I can't wait for next year!!

Catch up Post...

This post is being used for me to play catch up with random pictures of things we have been up to these last couple weeks.

When we went to Swiss Days a month or so ago, I saw all this really fun crafts that made me say "I can make that". Well I decided to combine 2 of the crafts I saw into one. I made one for my sister-in-law Alicia for her bday and I helped my niece Megan make this one for her room. Its half magnet board and half earring holder.

Here is both of my kids sleeping in funny positions.

A few Saturdays ago, we went to a couple really fun parks with Meg, Ty and the Perkins girls.

Have I mentioned how talented Ryan is with legos?? Well he constructed two chess sets out of his legos. So cool!!
One day it was hot outside, so Sue and Meg pulled out their super fun blow up waterslide for everyone to play on.
Last weekend, Sean and Jen came up with their family for a short visit. We finally got to meet baby Brycen. He is so cute and a bit of a tank! :) Here is Austin (4 months) and Brycen (5 weeks).
Last but not least, my fav pic of the week.

Rice Cereal...Yum????

So now that Austin is about 4 months old, we decided to introduce him to rice cereal. Did he like it? I'll let you be the judge of that.

Happy 30th Birthday Ryan!! (Part 1)

On Friday, Ryan turned the big 3-0! Goodbye 20's Hello 30's. :) Since all of us (Ry, me and the kids) have bad colds, we decided to stay home and cook Ryan's favorite restaurant meal (steak and Del Fresco's recipe for crabcakes with lobster sauce and molten lava cake for dessert) and play games with Kris and his family. In a week or so when Ry is feeling better, we are going to go out and do something fun for his birthday. When Ryan first walked in the door from work, Paisley said "Happy Birthday Ryan". No daddy or dad, it was a very clear "Ryan". It was pretty funny because all day long we were practicing "Happy Birthday Daddy" and she comes out with "Happy Birthday Ryan". Oh my!

Here is the birthday boy opening his favorite present ("Gang of Four" card game from his sisters). Notice how Paisley is very interested in the balloons. I have more to say regarding that shortly.
Sampling some of his birthday dinner before he even sits down at the dinner table. Steak, crab cakes, rice pilaf and broccoli. Yum!!!
Blowing out his "magic relighting" candles on his oh so delicious molten lava cake.
So back to Paisley and the balloons. Ryan and I have learned all to well that whats yours is mine and whats ours is our kids, so ofcourse Paisley ran off with Ryan's birthday balloons because they were now hers. I like this picture because she is walking away with them with her head down as if she is thinking "if I don't make eye contact with them, they won't see me taking the balloons". :)
After we brought them back, she would steal borrow them again. This went on a couple times. It was pretty funny. By the end of the night she was finally saying "daddy's balloons"...as she took them upstairs to bed with her.
After dinner and dessert, we all played Rockband!! Ry is VERY good at the drums for rockband. Surprise surprise right?? The Gilbert High marching band would be proud.
Paisley decided she didn't want to be apart of our band, so she started her own one man band. She was the vocalist...
Guitarist...
And earlier that day the drummer...ist...
Overall part 1 of ryans birthday turned out pretty fun. Ry was actually excited to be turning 30. He and I both agree that even though we have a lot of great memories from our 20's, we are really looking forward to our 30's. So many good things to come. :)

Redlands California

Last weekend we loaded up the kiddos and drove over to Redlands California for Uncle Bill and Aunt Kim's sealing in the beautiful Redlands temple. The night before we went to the sealing, we celebrated Alicias birthday 29th :) birthday. We ate El Burrito for dinner and enjoyed some yummy cupcakes and brownies for birthday dessert. It was so much fun to hang out with Beth and the girls. I meant to take some pictures, but I left my camera at the hotel. :(

The next day we got up early and went to the sealing. It was SO great. Mel was nice enough to watch Paisley and Austin for us. I love going to sealings because 1. they bring back feelings from my own sealing to Ryan and 2. you get free marriage advice from the sealer. Bonus! :)
This is a fun picture for me because I have another picture of us 3 (mel, alicia and myself) standing in the same spot 8 years ago when we went to the Redlands temple openhouse.
After the sealing, we went back to Bill and Kims house for a luncheon. They have a really nice pool that Paisley didn't mind getting in...fully dressed. We didn't know there was going to be swimming at the luncheon, so we didn't bring any swimsuits. So poor Ry had to hold on to one of her hands the whole time because she can't swim on her own yet.
After the luncheon was over, Ryan, Uncle Bill and Uncle Tom all went down to the Route 66 carshow in San Bernardino. They said it was really cool. Here are a couple of the cars they saw.
While the boys were at the carshow, us girls (and Austin)munched on some leftovers and watched a very HAPPY movie. ;)Anyways, it was so much fun to be able to come to Cali and visit Ryan's family. We really miss them.
