For the 4th of July weekend we decided to go down to Arizona so that our families could meet Austin. We weren't sure the drive down and back was going to be pleasant with a newborn and a 2 year old, but overall they both did pretty good. On a related note, I would like to personally thank Polaroid for their portable dvd player and Disney for the movies Tangled and Cars. For had it not been for them, I probably would not have been able to make the statement I did above.
While in Arizona we did all sorts of fun things...we played games, went to Geckos, watched movies, ate good food, saw Sean and Jens new house, did a photoshoot with Austin, went swimming and ofcourse watched fireworks.
Paisley LOVED this ladder that is used to get in and out of my mother-in-laws pool.
Since Paisley really didn't want to have anything to do with the big pool (except for the ladder), we finally got smart and got Paisley her own little play pool. At first she didn't want to have anything to do with this pool as well, but after awhile she finally gave it a shot and a loved it.
It was soooooo hot while we were down there and for some reason Paisley would get out of the nice cool play pool and run onto the hot rocks and then run back to the pool to cool off her feet while saying "hot hot hot".
Ryan decided to introduce Paisley to the hose, and boy did she have fun getting herself (and any innocent bystander walking past her) soaking wet.
The Mormann's did thier own private firework show in Mary's frontyard and Paisley really liked it. She clapped after almost every firework that went off.
If you are wondering why there are not any pictures of Austin doing anything fun and exciting, its because this is what he was doing pretty much the whole weekend. :)
